<p>Just wondering if anyone here has a kid or kid’s friend on the Jeopardy college tournament going on right now.</p>
<p>No, but I did notice that the UCs got three kids into the tournament. Berkeley, UCLA, and UCSD are each represented.</p>
<p>I offered to get D a tryout for this, since I know the head contestant coordinator from my own Jeopardy days. D would still have to pass the test and pass the audition, but assuming she did I thought she would stand a reasonble chance of getting selected to play, since they like the multi-generational connection angle. Plus they apparently like to have Harvard represented, since they have a Harvard kid nearly every year including this year. But no, D wasn’t particularly interested – too focused on her studies to tackle all the preparation that would be needed.</p>
