I’m thinking about living in a dorm for college next year (though my parents don’t want me to leave) just wondering what dorm life is like and how heavy the work is
I’m planning to major in nursing, biology, or undeclared depending where I go and I’m definitely staying in state California

Also what would college life be if one commutes?

Thanks in advanced!

Well, work load is all based on your major and the curriculum that comes with it. Go to the college website of where you want to go and usually you can find a curriculum and it will give the classes that you will take each semester. Average workload would be 13-18 credits which is about 6 classes. Again the difficulty depends on the classes. When you sign up for classes I suggest you go to ratemyprofessors.com and figure which teachers to take.
Dorm life is basically living in your bedroom on your college campus. You’ll have the basic setup of a desk, a bed, a closet, and maybe some other misc objects. You will share a bathroom with the people living on your floor. Your floor of the building will be overlooked by an RA. Then basically you can do various activities on campus, you go to class, and you eat. Living on campus is a good experience you’ll enjoy it.
