College Now credit

Over here in Kansas, we have something called College Now credit at the local community college. I dont know if other places have something similar but its where you take an AP course at your high school and you sign up for the equivalent class at the college. Therefore, you would receive college credit along with high school credit and college credit from your AP exam score. Considering credit at the community college is WAY cheaper than credit hours somewhere like Duke or something. So in your perspective, is this College Now credit worth it? Considering factors like the max. amount of credit hours you can transfer to a highly selective college…

Because from what I know, if you have that credit say for like Calculus, you won’t have to take that class at all in college. It would also save you money from credit hours.
