<p>Hello everybody,
I’m a senior in high school and I got my acceptance to USF-Honors College in November, but about a week later I received a letter saying that I “qualified to go directly into the College of Engineering” as a freshman in college. I’ve heard this is a marketing technique that some universities use to attract interest in their schools. I was just wondering if I heard wrong and if this a legitimate letter/proposal by USF.</p>

<p>why don’t you call the school? if you have a lot of Dual Enrollment credits coming in, this might be legit… but if you’re not sure, just call and verify :)</p>

<p>Most students start out as pre-engineering and have to apply to get into the college of engineering separately. If your math background is strong, though, you could be directly admitted into the college of engineering.</p>
