This is the official discussion thread for College of the Holy Cross Class of 2030 RD applicants. Ask your questions and connect with fellow applicants.
On Dec 15 we got an invitation from HC admissions to submit a “Parent/Guardian Recommendation”.
We of course took advantage of the opportunity
, but are wondering if this is offered to all applicants? Or is this a positive sign of HC’s interest in our kiddo?
For context, our D applied RD in Oct.
Pretty sure this opportunity is offered to all the parents/guardians when a student applies. It’s a great way to update the college of any new academic awards or highlight personal or scholastic achievements since application time. I would imagine it also shows demonstrated interest, which HC tracks. Good luck.
Do we have a March decision date for HC RD?
Any update?
Am hoping this Thursday if follows last year’s pattern but seen no date announcement yet.
An email received today said decisions would be released “on or around March 14.” I was hoping for this Wednesday!
Yes, we received email as well.
‘On or around” Could mean this Thursday, Friday or Saturday! Hopefully not Sunday or Monday!
Curious if everyone received the email.
Yes, received here
TY and please keep posting if there are any updates ![]()
Why are they so vague? lol
They took the time to write and send an email to everyone with “on or around”… why not just announce a specific date?
Do they typically announce a set date and time? Do they have a pattern such as they tend to release on Fridays at a certain time?
I really prefer knowing the time and date LOL
Agreed, but HC and all these colleges are in the driver’s seat.
My daughter just checked again, nothing yet, she’ll try again at 5pm…fingers crossed!!!
Looks like it’s out!!!
YES! D26 is in!! It’s my alma mater
How the h*ll are we going to pay for it

Congrats! That’s the issue with the top 100 schools… little/no merit. Big decision ahead for your family with an excellent option!!! CHEERS.
