college only allowed part of pell

<p>The college my children attend took a fraction of the pell grant and then sent the rest back. Now they owe what would of been paid for in full. Why didn’t they give it to my children. They don’t have the money to pay and neither do we.</p>

<p>What is each child’s EFC?</p>

<p>How much Pell was first given? How much was used towards college costs? And how much was “sent back”</p>

<p>I suspect a few things…</p>

<p>1) your kids aren’t taking a full load. How many credits is each child taking?
2) their Pell Grant is being split by semesters or quarters. </p>

<p>did they also get a student loan?</p>

Did the school award your child X amount of Pell Grant per term (semester or quarter), but only Y amount appears on your child’s account?</p>

<p>Contact the school as post #1 suggested.</p>
