College Options for a Lost Student

I have an unweighted cumulative of 3.4.

My SAT scores are over 2000.

I’ve been playing golf (school team), playing piano (CM testing), performing in a small non-profit dancing choir, and doing art (joined a few competitions and have a portfolio) for nearly all of my highschool years.

I attend a private school.

I took a math summer course at UC Berkeley and another summer course at a more local college. I’ve also gone to a leadership program during one summer pertaining to my major of interest and although joined not too long ago, I am one of the leaders at my non-profit dance performance company thing.

I really would like to major in Music/Entertainment Management and Merchandising, but I don’t really mind other options. The problem is, I don’t really know what schools are in my reach/zone (due to my horrible GPA. I’ve been told multiple times and can agree with me being smart but not applying myself correctly due to at home issues). I’d really like help with suggestions on where to go (Good schools, please. Something at least semi-well known. Otherwise, my parents will just call me stupid and put me down for attending a not as famous school.). If there are options out there, any options at all, please let me know. I like UC Santa Cruz, Northeastern or Syracuse kind of places (aka I don’t really care about distance and the colleges don’t need to be top notch, I just need options haha). Thanks!

So, you want: “Music/Entertainment Management and Merchandising”

Cal Poly Pomona? It fits your GPA and test scores like a glove. It is affordable even for OOS students. It is located near Los Angeles the entertainment industry capital of the World. Forest Whitaker, Oscar winner and many other famous folks are graduates. Here are some interesting links to look at for this school.

Good luck! It is a great place with all hands on learning. This very well could be your school.

Belmont - avg. GPA they report is 3.51, though that’s probably a weighted GPA. 75th percentile SAT is right around 2000. I think it would be a stats and interest match.

Oh wow, thanks! Cal Poly actually is sounding pretty good right now. I’ll definitely look further into that.
