Which school focuses more on Physics, Quantum Mechanics, etc. Cal Tech of M.I.T.?
*or
@AstrophysicsRocks Do you mean as far as classes or research?
For classes, Caltech requires the following majors to take at least 3 quarters of Quantum Mechanics:
Applied Physics
Astrophysics
Physics (most take 4 quarters)
And the following majors take at least one quarter of Quantum Mechanics:
Mathematics
Geophysics
Materials Science
Applied & Computational Math
Electrical Engineering
Planetary Science
A sophomore-level class in Quantum Mechanics optionally meets one of science requirements for a number of additional majors.
I don’t know about MIT.
They both focus very heavily on physics and they both have ample and amazing programs in QM.
I imagine they are both outstanding. Most colleges have the course catalog online so you can check each school and see what classes they offer.
Just remember there are literally hundred’s of schools in the US that will give you the necessary background with a degree in Physics to get into top Graduate programs where it really matters which program you enter.
