@Butters1, here’s a schedule that Questbridge has put up on their website for the conference:
[QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship - Overview](http://www.questbridge.org/cps/award_notifications/conference_schedule.html)

Hello everyone! As you can probably see, I am a little new. But I do want to say that I was nominated for the college visit and was waitlisted for the admissions conference. However, questbridge contacted me a few days ago and said I was accepted to the conference at Yale! Too bad I can’t go, because I was accepted to another college program. Oh man. Well, it happens. There are only one of me. Do you wish sometimes that you could make clones?

Congrats, savetheearth and keepingup. You are amazing!

@keepingup Which Penn program are you going to? I’m going to SAAST, so maybe I’ll see you there. :)

SAAST! I’ll keep an eye out. Through QuestBridge or on your own? Which program?

@keepingup I got a full scholarship through a different program.
I’m doing Biotechnology. You?

thank you aarelle

and congrats, keepingup!!!
where are you from?
will you be going to yale admissions conference? :)

Say hey I’d love to meet you all. If you’re going to the Stanford conference, I’m about 6’3’’ with light brown curly hair! See you there!

Have fun on Saturday, Stanford people! Report back and tell us how it was. :)

YES please tell us all the important things you hear :)

I can’t go because I don’t have a ride to Stanford D:

btw, does anyone know if you need to print out a form or something as identification? My friend is going and she wants me to ask…?

:D, I am itchy for excitment :D. Now to w8 for the Stanford people to get back to us

Wow. The greatest conference of my life! The founder of Questbridge is the smartest guy I have ever met. Please PLEASE read his biography on line. He lost the ability to speak after an accident when he was young and then trained himself to speak by high school. He’s a Rhodes scholar and THE personal physician to the Dalai Lama. Plus, he’s an excellent mentor and wants to take kids under his wing.

The college fair was great. I didn’t go on the campus tour because I had so much to talk about with the admissions officers. These aren’t regional admissions officers by the way. Theyre the associate directors or student recruitment officers. The Dean of admission of Stanford also came to give a speech and I talked with him a little. The president, a man named David Hunter, is a great guy and was a physician in Oxford so he had plenty to tell me about what I should expect when I’m there. (he also has a high school junior for a son which I found kind if awkward since he can’t be a quest scholar). The seminars were really helpful and I kept a lot of notes. I actually came up with the idea for my personal statement while I was there!! Yay!! Frankly there was plenty to talk about in every seminar, including how to approach teachers for letters of rec and how we should approach life.

I too thought the conference was great, though it started to seem a bit long by the end of the day.
I also was unable to understand the founder’s speech no matter how hard I tried…but the rest was enjoyable.

@Butters1 - Were you the guy with the red Harvard sweatshirt and shorts?

Hahaha! Yes!!

I was able to adjust to his speech and I got a little sore from sitting too long but wow

Wow guys! That sounds amazing! I can’t wait to go to the Yale conference…less than 3 weeks now! Hey, I just got an offer to apply to Windows on Wiliams…anyone else?? :)

@drumwriter22 I got that offer, too.

Has anyone gotten college visit nominations yet? Today I got an email from the director of minority recruitment at Williams telling me about their Windows on Williams program. You have to apply, but it referenced Questbridge, so it sort of counts? Anyway, it made me pretty happy. :)

@Butters1, you’ve got me really excited for Yale, now! On the QB website it says David Hunter practiced medicine AND has a JD from Harvard Law. Dear lord.

Edit: Drumwriter22 and grammargirl94 beat me to it.

Hahaha
Did you guys have any trouble opening the application? My computer says that it’s encoded or something like that?

Also, did either of you guys respond to the email? Do you think it makes a better impression if we do? haha, I wasn’t sure if I should just say thanks for the invite or something like that…even though its a fom letter.

P.S. Is it still called a “form letter” even though we’ve now gone to email? :P
