-Caltech
-MIT
-Cornell</p>

<p>Tier 3:
-NYU
-U Penn
-Harvard
-Johns Hopkins</p>

<p>It’s all just my opinion, of course. I don’t know where UCLA and UCB fit in.</p>

    (common thread for all three? great campuses not dominated by a major city yet not too far from one: Brown-Boston, Princeton-NY/Philly, Stanford-SF, great atmosphere for learning, amazing peeps)</p>

  • Berkeley
  • Caltech
  • Duke
  • Harvard
  • MIT
  • U Penn
  • UCLA</p>

<p>Tier 3:

  • NYU (where’s the campus?)
  • Johns Hopkins (Baltimore… could be worse, could be in Detroit)
  • Cornell (ever been to Ithaca in the winter? Make sure you have some Prozac handy)
  • Yale (New Haven - yuck!)</p>
