I think we all have our own internal set of rankings, which aren’t likely to line up perfectly with US News. These are based on whichever factors are important to us (location, majors, undergrad experience, etc) These operate on a similar concept- using alternate ranking methods. I personally don’t agree with a lot of them, but this is an issue that is obviously subjective. Just so you know- UCR is not better than Harvard.

Like I said in some other forums, as long as your school is recruited for your respective major or is AT LEAST known for your department, it doesn’t matter if your school is #15 or #38 or #80.

All that crap is trivial and shouldn’t dictate where you should go.

“Just so you know- UCR is not better than Harvard.”

In what ways? Please be specific. In THIS particular ranking it IS better. It all depends on what you are considering for your ranking. I am 100% certain that UCR IS better than Harvard in SOME areas.
