College Recindition

I am a highschool senior with fairly average A B grades. With my current grades and an Sat score of 1190 I got accepted into a local university. I am currently failing two courses with 60s. They are not necessary to graduate and I was wondering if there are odds that the college would revoke my admission or should I not worry and continue to enjoy my senior year?

The unwritten rule is no Ds and no arrests/disciplinary problems after you’re accepted. You should read what the school says about what GPA or grades you need to have senior year. If you can’t find that information, you should call the school. But, yes, schools can revoke if you get Ds. So I would definitely try your best to get those Ds into the C range.

Rule of thumb: No D’s or F’s Senior year. Call your schools admissions office and find out what you can do. Some schools are vert strict about Senior grades and some are not. What school? Look up your provisional admission contract.

Call. Don’t just hope they overlook it.

This is why colleges are concerned when kids fail classes. Prioritizing fun over school doesn’t bode well for success in college.

  2. They most certainly can rescind…they want students who will succeed in college. You are not succeeding in HS.
