College Schedule? Is it too early to think about this?

I had already been looking at the different class offerings between the different schools. So, today and yesterday, I looked online for Rice and tried to make a tentative schedule for next year (assuming that the classes remain the same). I wonder if the schedule is too difficult or too intense as a freshman. Keeping in mind that I will have labs in the evenings.

Freshman Year

Fall

Calculus....Biology.....Writing.....Chemistry.....Cognitive Psychology
MWF@9.....MWF@10...MWF@11..MWF@1........TR@9:25

Spring

Calculus....Biology.....Prose........Chemistry...Biopsychology
MWF@9.....MWF@10...MWF@11...MWF@1......TR@9:25

Sophomore Year

Fall

Physics......Organic Chem.....Humanities....Philosophy of the Mind...LPAP
TR@9:25....TR@10:50..........MWF@10.......MWF@11

Spring

Physics......Organic Chem.....Humanities....Roman Civilizations...LPAP
TR@9:25....TR@10:50..........MWF@10.......MWF@11

Would that be too difficult? As a freshman, I may not have to take comm103 and prose isnt required for me to take either. I intend to be pre-med and my major is cognitive science. I was informed that the humanities class can take the place of the writing requirement for med school.

I think it's a little early. Classes change from semester to semester. You'll get a lot of advice from your O-week advisors, PAAs (Peer Academic Advisors) and your divisional advisor.

DEFINITELY too early...though since you're asking, no, it doesn't look like too much assuming you keep on top of things.

Also, it's unlikely you'll get an LPAP anytime except your first semester freshman year unless you have senior credit hours (90+). As a "junior" I managed to find ONE that was open but it was something lame that none of the senior-status people wanted so I dropped.

Ds just keeps an eye on the online registration. He just dropped outdoor sports and picked up a different LPAP (as a soph) a few days ago.
And Pyles - way too early to plan a schedule! Enjoy your last year of high school and relax a bit! :)

Wow, just chill out a bit pyles. Enjoy second semester.

A little eager beaver, are we?

hey I was bored and looking for something to do. I was telling my friend and she said it would be too intense so I thought that I'd just get your opinions about it. I mean, I seriously had absolutely nothing to do. And, I greatly look forward to next semester as I can finally relax (but not slip-up on grades)
