College search for psychology major?

Im looking for a school with a good psych program. I would prefer to stay in the mid-atlantic/north east region. I would like a more urban setting, with a student population of 15,000+

UW GPA- 3.31
W GPA- 3.51
SAT- 1550/2400 (It sucks, i know. Im going to retake)
EC’s- 2 years JV soccer, 2 years Varsity
1 Year JV lacrosse, 1 year Varsity
1 year in the environmental club
By end of senior year i’ll have taken 6 AP classes, one IB, and I wont even bother counting the honors.
My class rank is 91/544

Check out CUNY Hunters, Temple, and SUNY Buffalo

Clark is well-known for psychology.
What state do you live in?

From Maryland

Clark? As in Clark Atlanta University?

Towson university is on the edge of Baltimore and in-state for you. You don’t mention your financial constraints, but Towson meets the criteria you do mention.

Check out St Mary’s of Maryland (your state’s Honors College), a bargain for the quality of instruction, plus the riverfront campus is gorgeous – but it’s definitely not urban so if that’s a dealbreaker for you…
UMD-B could be another match for you if you want to study psychology for counseling - check out the BSW: http://socialwork.umbc.edu/

A smaller college would provide a “close knit” atmosphere while the big city (and the college exchanges with the other universities in the city) would provide diversity and big city life.
For example, Goucher would be a match for your wishes and stats, it’s urban but it’s small (even if it’s by a big city - but in my opinion it means to get the best of both worlds.)
If you can broaden your search geographically, you’d be more likely to receive some scholarships.
Based on your stats and interests, you could look at Agnes Scott (very small women’s college, but in Atlanta!), Millsaps (very small college, but in Jackson!), Randolph Macon (very small, near Richmond), Mills (small w’s college, Oakland by SanFrancisco, CA), Rhodes (small college, but in Memphis!), Wheaton (Norton, MA), Lake Forest (near Chicago), Rollins (near Orlando), Transylvania (medium sized, Lexington), Trinity U (San Antonio), U of Portland (medium sized, Portland OR), Duquesne (medium-sized, Pittsburgh), Marquette (medium-sized, Milwaukee), Drew (NJ)…
Most of those have totally gorgeous campuses, BTW.
Hampshire is part of the 5-college consortium so it meets your number of students wish, and it’s near a big college town.
