<p>D LOVES psychology - and thinks she may eventually want to be a counselor (realize that requires grad school). Many colleges have Psych as a major - but are there colleges that have stronger programs? I realize she may change her mind on this career - but we have to start to narrow down somewhere. Looking to stay in the midwest - IL, IN, MO, OH, IA. Probably looking at a school with at least 2,000 - not too small.
If anyone has a suggestion for a good reference website for this information - would appreciate that as well. Thank you!</p>
<p>Not sure what size/environment your daughter is looking for but some of the best programs are indeed located in the midwest- in the Big 10 schools: UMich, UMinn, UIUC, Northwestern, Indiana & Wisconsin - all have excellent psychology programs.</p>
<p>When she’s ready for grad school, Mizzou has terrific degree programs in several different areas of counseling. </p>

<p>Not midwest but Lesley in Cambridge MA has an initeresting holistic psychology program, and Clark in Worcester MA is known for psychology (only school that Freud visited!).</p>
