I am currently a senior in high school and I am an aspiring mens college soccer player who does not yet have an offer to play in college. With the application deadline approaching, what options do I have? I honestly don’t want to go to a school where I’m not going to play soccer. Can schools still recruit past the application deadline and what does that look like? (Specifically for D3 schools)
Yes, they can, but you usually have to have applied to the schools within the normal timeline. Many athletes commit after acceptance.
What steps have you taken so far? Are you in communication with any coaches? At this point I would identify and apply to several schools where you would be an impact player from day one.
Still, while I understand playing is important to you, make sure the school is a fit otherwise too.
