<p>I’ve been thinking - is writing essays specially tailored to a single college (i.e., “About that great time I had at _____ last summer…”) a good idea? I’m interested in applying to Yale early action next fall, and with Yale’s early action program predicted to be extremely competitive this year (due to Harvard + Princeton dropping theirs), I’d like to stand out from the Harvard and Princeton people and show Yale that I’m actually interested in it, as I have had some essay worthy experiences in and around Yale (I live right across the sound in Long Island, and we go there occasionally).</p>
