Are college tours helpful besides the fact that you get to see the campus ? Does that help in acceptances - especially with Stanford/Harvard/Yale/MIT/Princeton/Caltech ? Thanks in advance.

College tours in no way improve your standing with the Admissions Office. They mention that to you during the tour, I believe.

The reason being is that many in the world do not have the ability to fly out and tour campus. Allowing others who easily could tour campus have an advantage in admissions would be incredibly unfair; therefore, College Tours have no effect on admissions. For Stanford, they wouldn’t even know you visited unless you mentioned it in one of your essays or something.
