I don’t have any advice on obtaining money from these schools for visits but I do have some advice for slimming down your list. If you are unable to afford a visit to any of these schools, it is unlikely that you will be able to afford the tuition of any of the out-of-state public schools on your list like Georgia Tech, UMich, or Berkeley.

Short of being an athletic recruit, it is highly unlikely that these particular colleges will fly you in for a visit before admissions decisions are made. After you are accepted, it may be possible to get them to pick up the tab to travel to revisit days.

I also agree with @saintsmd ; if you cannot afford a visit, you will not be able to afford OOS tuition, so best to cross off your list now.

@baller55. Bates College has a program called Prologue where you apply (you are URM) and I believe the visit to campus is paid for or can be paid for by the school.

Some schools have fly-in programs you can apply for in case you cannot afford a visit. But, I’m not sure any of these schools do that. You can check their websites or email admissions to see if they might offer you a visit. However, if they don’t, you still showed interest by at least inquiring about the prospect of visiting.
There are other ways to show interest than actually visiting (emails, calls, mailing lists, etc.). Most of those you listed tour the country and visit Florida, if you attended one of the visits that counts as well.

I’m not sure about every school on this list, but I am fairly certain that the majority of them do not track demonstrated interest. So if your hope is to show interest for a leg-up in admissions or scholarships or anything like that, I’m afraid it won’t happen.
