<p>I am a freshman who goes to a very prestigious boarding school in NE.
I was wondering when is it too early to start visiting colleges?
I’ve always wanted to go to a school like Colgate and I was wondering if it would be odd to visit it this summer?

<p>I would recommend waiting until at least junior year. I visited two colleges in June of my junior year and by the time I went on my real college trip in the fall of senior year, my memory was hazy on the first two. Certainly you can still go and check out a few places if you’d like but I would definitely revisit them junior/senior year.</p>
<p>Definitely wait until at least the end of sophmore year. We visited one school in the summer going into junior year and we had to revisit it last week because I didn’t remember it very well.</p>
