college, worried about a d

currently a rising junior

SAT I = 2030
GPA (9-11): 3.67, 3.33, 3.67, 4.17, 3.5, 4.0

I got a d in ap physics first semester junior year.

i run cross country and track, going to be captain, definitely going to be in the 15:40 3mile range.

i’m taking 4 AP’s next year, and i’m definitely going to be more serious about them.

i have 100 community service hours. i’ve particpated in a lot of talent shows, i play the guitar fairly well (although i play on my own, not in competitions, which is probably what matters) I’m in three clubs, and I’m going to be president of one (Environmental Science)

i was wondering, with that d i got in ap physics b, will i still be able to get into St. Mary’s College of California. I don’t think i’ll get into any UC’s right now, which i’m okay with, but i want to desperately go to SMC.

These are the schools i’m going to apply to

  • UC Davis
  • UC Berkeley
  • UC Riverside
  • UC Irvine
  • St. Mary’s
  • Oregon
  • Washington
  • Boston U
  • Loyola Marymount

oh and to make matters worse, i’m indian.

UC Davis-match/low reach

UC Berkeley - high reach

UC Riverside-match/low reach

UC Irvine-match

St. Mary’s-safety

Oregon-safety

Washington-mid-reach

Boston U-mid-reach

Loyola Marymount-reach

Everything seems highly likely, except Cal

thanks! that makes me feel a lot better. oh and another thing that i wanted to add was that i’ve taken 4 ap classes so far in high school

10th grade

  • ap euro - got a 4
    11th grade
  • ap english - felt great (i think at least a 4)
  • ap calc - was sick through entire test (probably passed)
  • ap physics - i wasn’t sure about this one at all, i might’ve failed it

so that might make my thing stronger or weaker
