I am still a freshman in high school, but I would like to start looking for colleges that are a good fit for me. I am looking to go into a field in biomedical research specializing in MS (multiple sclerosis) I have good grades and I am a hard worker. I took the act in seventh grade and I got a 21. I dont care about the location of the school, but it needs to have scholarships available to middle income families. I would prefer smaller classes with fun engaging professors, and lots of hands on learning. Thank you in advance for all your help.

It’s still early to look but a good idea would be to go on campus visits to a variety of schools in areas where you live or where you happen to be on vacation. If you look at a variety of sizes and selectivity of schools, you will develop a sense of what interests you and be able to be more focused come junior and senior year. Sit in some classes to get a feel of what the student faculty interaction is like.

ditto res. I’ll add that I would not make biomedical reserach the focus of your search at this point. It’s good to know that you’ll want a place with strong science, but odds are that your interests will evolve over the next four years in high school, not to mention over the first couple of years in college.
