My son is a high school senior applying to several private colleges. I completed the FAFSA form yesterday but am wondering if we need to complete the Collegeboard CSS form. According to most tuition calculators, our expected family contribution, based on salary and savings, is 100% of tuition, room and board. Do we need to complete the CSS to qualify for merit scholarships?
You need to contact the schools to find out. The school will tell you if you need to file for that reason.
