Now I don’t mean A+ colleges for B+ students, I mean I am an A+ student with a couple B+'s sprinkled in the math fields. What are some good colleges for people like this (specifically I am looking for prelaw and International Relations majors and minors)
Thanks a lot.

Pre-law is not (usually) a major; you can be pre-law with any undergraduate major.

There are over 3,000 colleges and universities in this country. You will have to give us more information to go on if you want concrete advice.

How much can you affiord?

Which part of the country?

What size school?

These are some of the questions you need to ask yourself before embarking on the college search

If everything else is really good, a couple B+s won’t keep you out of most of the most selective schools in the country. Getting into Stanford or whatever is, obviously, really difficult, but one more A vs. B+ won’t increase your chances nearly so much as having a really good, convincing essay vs. a dull or poorly written one. I don’t necessarily recommend those most-selective, but I think the upper limit of schools you can apply to might be higher than you think. (Very CC moment to think a couple B+s is an “A and B student,” where I’d say that means “about half of each”! haha)

Anyway, this thread is helpful:

I hope you like DC, mate, 'cause most of your best options are there. Georgetown is one of the best in the country, and you can get away with doing more dedicated coursework, I think, than the ones that don’t have a separate undergraduate school for IR. George Washington is thoroughly respectable, but really expensive and not super generous. American is not a great university, but it has a really good IR program given its standards for admission, so it’s a good safety. I haven’t heard so much about Tufts/Swat/Williams/UCB/UCSD’s IR programs, but Tufts is probably in the same category as GW, if cheaper, and Swat and Williams are as hard to get into as Georgetown. I don’t know whether you’re a resident of California. Just for me, I might throw in Macalester and Lewis and Clark? This is not based on me being terribly informed about them, but for whatever reason they make me think of IR things.
