Colleges For Bioengineering

Hi,

I would like to know colleges that are good for Bioengineering.

Thanks.

Hrm, UCSD, Hopkins, Duke, UPenn, Georgia Tech, Berkeley =P

Be careful not to get too attached to departmental strength for undergrad. At the undergrad level it is the overall college experience, not the strength of the department, that counts more. Since most people change their major or end up not going straight to grad school, the overall reputation of the university is more important. You should only put heavy emphasis on the department at the graduate level.

But make sure your college has a program. Columbia does not have any bioengineering, only biomedical for example.

mikenthemaddog66 and what’s the difference between the two?

My school has a major called

1) Agricultural and Biological Engineering

2) Bioengineering

2) is basically Biomedical Engineering and 1) is what some schools will call “bioengineering”

My point is some BME programs are called “bioengineering”, on the other hand
“bioengineering” is some programs aren’t exactly BME.

so it varies from school to school.
so check w/ your schools.
