colleges for finance & IR?

<p>I’m a senior in high school looking for colleges for finance/business and int’l relations as double majors or a major in one, minor in the other.
I realize it is late for me to start looking for colleges but I would be very obliged if you could recommend some.
Basic Info:
I’m an Indian in Baltimore attending an OK public school.
SAT - 800(V), 800(M), 730(W)
SAT 2 - 800(math 2), 800 (US hist) will take Chem in Oct. (expecting 700+)
PSAT - 224 - just barely enough to get me nat’l merit semi in MD
Class Rank is 2 or 3 out of a class of 460+</p>

<p>ECs:
NHS - President - 40+ (organized volunteer activities)
History Club - Member/Nation Leader/Organizer - 100+

JHU Model UN - nation leader - 70ish
JHU internship this summer in Materials Science - 300 hrs - made me realize I didn’t like science :(</p>

<p>Awards (or the lack thereof):
2nd Place - It’s Academic Quiz Contest - Baltimore Metropolitan area
pretty sure I’ll make Nat’l Merit Semi
School Award for Spanish Poetry Contest
ARML Team Highest scorer
MD Distinguished Scholar</p>

<p>yes…kind of barren, isn’t it?</p>

<p>Other:
Senior Courseload:
AP Econ
AP Chem
AP English
AP Psych
Linear Algebra at JHU
multivariable Calc,
CISCO/IT
and maybe Philosophy Honors</p>

<p>other APs taken: Calc BC, Comp Sci AB, US History, Language and Comp., Stats - all 5s except stats (4) :(</p>

<p>Could anyone please tell me which colleges I could consider with my scores/academic record? I would prefer colleges on the East Coast and have taken UMD as a safety and JHU as a possible match.</p>

<p>NYU, UPenn, UVa, Georgetown, etc etc etc</p>

<p>Well the good business schools along the east coast are UPenn’s Wharton, Carneige Mellon’s Tepper and NYU’s Stern. Thing is they’re all 4 year programs so you enter as a freshman.</p>

<p>If you don’t mind looking at schools other than those in the east the California has some pretty good schools, like UCBerkeley’s Haas and USC’s Marshall. Emory’s good as well, as is University of Virginia. They’re all top ten bba schools, so. If I’m not wrong most of these offer undergraduate business programs where you enter in the junior year. I would think most business schools put a lot of emphasis on finance, so you don’t have to worry about that.</p>

<p>Best of luck! I’ll be applying soon too.</p>

<p>bump (stupid requirement)</p>

<p>arggh!
last bump
could anyone else give me some additional advice?
btw, how is Stern for i-banking?</p>
