Colleges for the Jewish "B" student (Part 1)

911 & samtalya…Whoot Whoot!!! That’s what I’m talking about!

Congratulations to all!!! Major happy dance coming at ya from FL!

samtalya: FANTASTIC!!! :D

And a scholarship to boot! Your family must be so proud and relieved!

samtalya, a huge mazel tov! So happy for you and your family.

Samtalya, CONGRATULATIONS!!! That’s so wonderful!

Santayana, congrats. Awesome.

RVM, my fingers are crossed…

That was samtalya…I phone corrected it…haha

Yay, Samtalya and 911’s Sons!! Have a wonderful evening!

Let’s keep the ball rolling. Samtalya, especially–keep thinking good thoughts for my D at your alma mater!!

911C2S, I missed your announcement about Tulsa. Congratulations!!!

NEMom: No, you didn’t miss it. I only just “announced” it. I’m trying to save my real enthusiasm for the ED school and at the same time, prepare myself that at least he has choices if ED doesn’t pan out.

I will keep my fingers crossed for the ED school, 911CS2. Still, the Tulsa acceptance is very nice!

Congratulations to Samtayla and 911 S’s.

Samtayla: I’m so happy for you and your son. It’s amazing that he knows where he is going in NOVEMBER!

Ok - this is not fun. I don’t understand why some regional reps from Elon call with good news and some don’t. I am beyond stressed now. Was really hoping for that 5 pm phone call. Now what? Check it after midnight. This is really annoying. But that’s just me - S2 seems relatively calm.

Deep breath and congratulations to those who have just posted their good news!

Samtalya, GREAT news! With the cherry on top of that scholarship.

Oh why can’t it all be good news :(

RVM, hang in there. This is the downside of our wonderful thread community; better in some ways for the waiting be done in a vacuum. I’m praying for great news for your S!

RVM: I totally agree. It’s like a specific form of torture that some get calls and some don’t. I keep checking in here, hoping to see that you’ve posted some great news. It’s more like “College Crack” than “College Confidential”.

Since you hadn’t checked in, I thought that you were specifically avoiding CC as a form of stress management.

Fingers are crossed for you and S2!

RVM, it’s the parental unhappy job to blithely tell our children not to worry while we bathe in worry. Hang in there…as Tom Petty said, the waiting is the hardest part.

911C2S - I have the same philosophy that if ED dosen’t pan out at least he will have some nice choices. Congrats on UTulsa.

Congrats to samtalya’s son - what a wonderful relief!
We have 15 days of wait left here for my DS.

I’m trying to relax and watch some tv - not having much success. This ED thing is for the birds.

SAMTALYA - YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY! So happy for you…

RVM - Hang in there. Your news (hopefully good news) will come soon enough.

rockvillemom, My son was not accepted EA at Elon last year, but was accepted in the regular applicant pool. Try not to stress. Next year at this time you’ll be counting down the days until Christmas break!
