Colleges for these stats?

Turns out my stats are much lower than I thought. My GPA is 3.4, awful, I know. Last two years, all As, but I have a D in my freshman year and a few Bs (hence the 3.4)
I expect at least a 2100 SAT based on practice tests
I’m thinking of applying to Boston University ED (their average GPA is 3.5, so I have a chance in ED.)
Only two ECs are drawing and tennis (very passionate about both though).

I would prefer colleges under 30,000$ though. Only college I’m willing to make loans for is BU because it’s a great college and in a wonderful city. It’s my dream college right now.

PS: I’m an international student and most colleges do not offer financial aid for internationals. That’s why I’d have to make private loans and prefer colleges under 30k

To be brutally honest, you’re a reach for Boston U. This means you’re back of the queue for any international scholarship money and the tuition fee alone is about $43, 000.

Please, please, please don’t take out such a large loan for college, let alone undergrad. You’re thinking of owing $120, 000. That money will have horrific interest that acrues from the day you receive it. Unless you’re a mature student, it will also require a co-signer who’s responsible if you default. What if you get ill and can’t work for a couple of years? What if you can’t find a job paying enough? Your parents would be liable and could lose their home. You have to be pragmatic as to what you can afford now. Just focus on getting the best grades you can at college. It will open future doors for you.

Right now, it’d be better to either stay in your home country and aim for grad school in the US if appropriate, head to the EU taking a major in English due to the low tuition rates there, take 2 years at a community college in the US and transfer for the last two years or go for a college with low tuition- look at UMass and other MA state schools.
