With colleges in major cities, how well do they create the traditional campus feel? Cities/schools I’m most curious about:
Philadelphia/Temple
Honolulu/Manoa
Portland OR/Portland St.
If you don’t have advice about those specific schools, I’d STILL like to hear your thoughts about schools you are familiar with.
I’m not familiar with any of the cities/schools that you mentioned.
When I was doing college road trips with my (then) high school-aged children a few years ago, there were three universities that I visited in big cities that stuck out as having nice campuses: Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio; University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia; and American University in Washington, D.C. (albeit a more compact campus).
@gandalf78 because I ALSO want to visit D.C. museums and memorials I should DEFINITELY swing through American U. BTW: I’m planning on Area Studies/Foreign Language.
