Colleges in NY with a good pharamacy program

<p>hello. i want to major in either law, pharmacy, or business. what are some good colleges in NY that have a good pharamcy program? </p>

<p>i want to apply to Columbia and NYU…do eiher of those have a good one? </p>

<p>If you mean NY State, SUNY at Buffalo, but that is about as far from NYC as possible, so maybe not what you’re looking for if you mean NYC.</p>

<p>You can do your pharmacy pre-requisites at many schools and then take the PCAT and apply to schools that offer the PharmD. Neither Columbia or NYU have pharmacy schools, but they will have all the necessary pre-requisite courses (bio, chem, organic chem, calculus, microbio, stats, etc.). </p>

<p>If you don’t want to go that route, you can find a listing of all the schools in NY that offer PharmD programs (as well as prerequisites and descriptions of how the pre-pharmacy to pharmacy route works at each school) at this site:

<p>If you’re unsure about pharmacy, I would avoid the very specialized schools like Albany since you will have few other choices of majors. SUNY Buffalo (UB) has the only public school of pharmacy in the state. I believe St John’s is the only 0-6 program left (no PCAT required, admits students directly from high school).</p>
