Colleges known for generous financial aid?

Do you any colleges known for giving a lot of financial aid?

Tulane.
Santa Clara.

And, of course, in-state tuition at the UCs. :)

Depends on your GPA, test scores. U. of Redlands was very generous but I don't like the location unfortunately. Also, Cal Lutheran/Thous. Oaks and Linfield/Oregon was very generous. I'm no scholar though. 3.5 and 25 ACT, 1700 SAT. Chapman gives a lot too if you have above a 3.8 and 1800. Really depends what kind of school you want and location.

I can't seem to find it now, but there is a list of colleges that offer a substantial amount of financial aid.

USNR lists colleges that give the most and least aide here

:)

world changer, how much did Santa Clara offer? Of the 8 schools I've heard from, Santa Clara's offer is the lowest by more than $10,000.

Claremont McKenna and Pomona Colleges are both known for generous financial aid (they both just eliminated their loans from all financial aid, replacing it with grants).
