Daughter loved KU campus and the neighborhood around it. The parent in me fell in love with Mizzou. We are looking for other options in the Midwest near Missouri that are similar vibe to the feel of both of them and it has to have a marching band. Something small/middle Size town, easy to get around. Any recommendations?

I will plug Northwest Missouri State! Honestly I don’t know the vibe of KU or Mizzou…but NWMSU is in a small town that is easy to get around AND they have a fantastic marching band (plus excellent football). If you’re OOS you can get in-state rates fairly easily plus automatic merit. Lots of majors, nice looking campus.
If you have any questions let me know!
PS I know some about the theatre program there too if that is an interest.
Kansas State? (small town but neat campus), Iowa State? big school – small town; or UNLincoln? big town, cute campus . . . .
Iowa State
Love Kansas State! It has a great marching band! Iowa State is nice too!
i live near KU and would really recommend it over missouri schools. it has a lot more opportunities and it isn’t as much of a boring college town as the other schools around here. i know it can be hard for parents to let go but really KU is a better school.
Another plug for Iowa State!
