Colleges similar to Coastal Carolina University?

Especially if they have rolling admissions/a gap year program.

I need a school that is fairly easy to get into (my GPA is low; uw is like 2.97, will be lower by the end of the year; got a 2020 SAT) like CCU, with the sort of nature-y suburban charm that their campus has.

The only difference is that I want stronger academics s far as classes go. CCU academics aren’t the greatest.

Any suggestions?

An important consideration will be what can your parents afford to contribute?

I believe that you are instate for VA schools. If finances are a consideration, your instate options are likely the most affordable. Have you discussed with your guidance counselor any options. He/She should be able to recommend where similar students have been accepted.

Another option would be to attend one of the community colleges like Piedmont Virginia CC and through their guaranteed entry program enter one of the higher ranked schools in VA (like William & Mary or UVA) that your current gpa will likely hinder a freshman admission. Look at their website for specific details. Your SAT scores are good, but the sub 3.0 UW gpa will be a problem at the higher ranked schools. The CC route with good grades, most of the higher ranked schools on their list will require a 3.4 to 3.6 gpa to qualify, will prove that you are ready for the stronger academic environment that you are seeking.

Best of luck to you.
