<p>I just have to say that MSU is in no way is subpar academically (for a large state school)! Actually, one of the reasons I’m attending MSU in the fall is because of the academics-special programs they offer (residential colleges), james madison college in particular. Lyman Briggs and the Residential college in arts/humanities are also excellent programs. If you are looking for something more intellectual if you can get in there is the honors college which gives you loads of extra opportunities including doing paid research in your 1st year of college. I can go on and on and on about the academics of MSU
And there is no doubt, we know how to have fun also</p>
<p>According to US NEWS UW’s avg SAT is around 1180-1190. Nowhere near 1250 for ENROLLED students. Maybe you looked at admitted.</p>
