what colleges would accept an expelled high school student?
I’m just wondering because my friend who is a senior just got expelled for selling alcohol to other students. He is smart with a 3.68 weighted gpa and 3.57 unweighted. He was also ranked 57 out of 355. What colleges can he get into since his academics were above average and that this expulsion was the first discipline he had ever received?

Enroll at an open admission community college. Then transfer at the junior level to a four year school that does not care about anything from high school for transfer applicants with a sufficiently good college record.

There have been seniors at my son’s high school over the years who were expelled and still able to attend good 4 year colleges/universities. I recall some who had already been accepted to college prior to being expelled. Some schools rescinded the offer of admission while others didn’t. But they all went on to college. Don’t give up hope!
