Colleges that Require Physical Education class

Hello. Does anyone have a list or know where I can find colleges that require the students to take P.E. for a couple of years? We would like our daughter to remain active and the promise of a super “Rec Center” isnt enough. She probably wont bother going, even if the facility is amazing.
She needs some required activity to stay in shape and not put on weight. Thanks. She is not a Super-Star, she is a B plus or A minus (sometimes) student.

Is she open to women’s colleges? Many of them have PE requirements, although generally not more than a semester or two worth.

Edit: You might also look at colleges with a walkable campus and inconvenient parking.

Most colleges have a physical education requirement, but it’s usually one or two semesters, so it won’t keep her active her entire college career.

Consider a work college - like Berea - although the work doesn’t have to be physical, so that’s not a guarantee either.

Honestly, this is something your daughter is going to have to learn to manage on her own.

https://today.oregonstate.edu/archives/2013/jan/physical-education-requirement-four-year-universities-all-time-low-according-study and https://www.researchgate.net/publication/235388754_Historical_Perspective_and_Current_Status_of_the_Physical_Education_Graduation_Requirement_at_American_4-Year_Colleges_and_Universities say that physical education requirements in colleges have declined from 97% in the 1920s to 39.5% in 2010.

But finding out if a college has a physical education requirement and what it requires means looking up each individual college’s graduation requirements.
