Just wanted to chime in, there have been a couple of posts in here that seem negative towards the Jesuit schools. I don’t want to get into a debate, but I suggest that you check them out for yourself. Just going on an opinion that Jesuit schools are “liberal” or “don’t have strong Catholic presence” may be limiting you from some schools, and actually a whole educational philosophy, that actually could fit you quite well. Yes, my daughter goes to a Jesuit school, LMU in CA. There is a strong Catholic presence there: Orientation started out in the church, and Parents Weekend kicked off with a Mass. It is “open minded” in that there is also a temple and other faiths are welcome there, but I would not call it a “liberal” atmosphere. I am also familiar with another Jesuit school, John Carroll in Ohio, and have also visited Georgetown, and at each, as Catholics who are not liberal, we felt not only comfortable but very impressed with the Jesuit philosophy of education, service, and attention to the whole person.
