Colleges with First Year Studies Program or Something Similar

I was just wondering if anybody knows any colleges that do not require you to apply to a specific school during your senior year of H.S. such as business, engineering, nursing, etc. and rather enroll the class into one whole school for the first year or two and then let’s everyone branch off into different schools within the university.

This interests me because I am not entirely sure what I want to do/major in and would rather not get “stuck” into a school (and even if I transferred out I would be behind in requirements).

I know Notre Dame has a First Year studies program and then your sophomore year you choose a school. Anything similar?

I thought this was the norm… both schools I have experience with (UF and GT) do not lock you into a major and it’s as simple as changing an online form to change your major for the first 60 hours.

LACs would be the ones to watch for. Almost all “universities” in the top 50 (that I can think of), have separate “colleges” for different paths. Even though it’s usually not difficult at all to switch schools/colleges once you’re accepted, LACs won’t even force you to do that much. They’re usually all one undergraduate college. Usually. I’m sure there are exceptions.
