What are some colleges with a good business program but also strong athletic tradition? I’m not looking necessarily looking for the elite schools, just ones with a respected program (i.e. Maryland). 1310 SAT and 3.3 GPA at one of the best high schools in my region. Not looking for any west coast schools

is the 1310 out of 2400 or 1600

Clemson? Almost any big state school probably has both. Temple, Pitt, Syracuse . . . I think that Notre Dame is probably out or reach academically. The others depend on whether that score is out of 1600, not out of 2400.

1310 two part, 2020 three part

U of Dayton. Make sure you run the Net Price Calculators for all of your potential schools.

OP - Okay, then. Notre Dame would be an academic reach, but you might give it a shot if that 3.3 is unweighted and you’ve taken some the “most demanding available” courseload. Will you be full-pay at any college? My son had similar stats and got into Tulane, but received no merit aid. They did not meet our EFC, even with loans. You might well get in there, but without financial help. I’d say the same is probably true for BC, Villanova, and some other Catholic colleges that would fit your requirements. Butler’s profile has risen recently, owing to its Basketball team’s success in the NCAA tournament. They’re probably an academic match for you, also. I already mentioned Pitt, Temple, and Syracuse above. Michigan State, Indiana (although their Business school is pretty selective, I understand), Miami U. of Ohio . . .

Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business is highly respected. So is the Farmer School at Miami of Ohio. Both schools give pretty decent aid to out of state students.

I would check out Clemson, TCU, and Univ of South Carolina.

There are a bunch of schools that would fit. However, many are OOS publics which may be unaffordable. How much will your family pay? If not most costs, then most/all of these schools won’t be affordable.

Are you talking about football, basketball or baseball? If football, start with Big 10 and work your way down, check affordability along the way. Kelley being one, Mich, UIUC etc.
