Hey! So I’m a rising junior who loves to write, doing some random research on the little quirks that I care about in my future college choices. I know Yale has excellent student publications like the Yale Literary Mag and the YDN, Penn is known for its student newspaper. I’m guessing there is a high correlations with known “artsy” schools and good student publications for creative writing? I once stumbled upon published poetry in a top LAC’s literary magazine (will not say which so as not to offend) and was somewhat disappointed by the quality. I know this seems silly, but it really is the little things. What are some colleges with standout student publications?
Also, I don’t want to imply that I’m some sort of prolific creative writer whose writing quality surpasses that of the poem with which i was disappointed. I just like to be around better writers than me because they inspire me to be my best.
