Cornell’s Hotel school has a wine tasting class. That’s really cool. Which other schools have similar things going on? What are the other top hotel schools in the US?

This is the deciding factor for you when selecting schools?

Yes this is the deciding factor.

Cornell does.

Sonoma State has a wine business program. There are a host of classes, clubs and activities that deal with the industry, as well as (sometimes free!) tastings.

Just a few off the top of my head. And I googled “wine tasting college”.

UC Davis. It’s actually a serious, science-based class, not the party that I think you are imagining.

No schools can do wine tasting with the under 21 set.

UPenn does as a “preceptorial.” Not a class, but a very popular event for upperclassmen :)

Penn State, but my Senior was never able to get into the class - always overbooked.

^ No way! Drinkers at Penn State? Just kidding, it’s a great school.

Maybe Northwestern Michigan, located in Traverse City, very famous for its wine making.

Virginia Tech has a class (Wines & Vines, 3 credits in Food Science and Technology/Horticulture). Students must be 21 to register. VT seems to have quite a program of wine-related classes: http://www.vtwines.info/

hmom5-- from what I understand, Cornell’s "Beverage Management " class is open to hotel students , even if they are not 21. All other students must be 21.

Btw, this is not, I understand, an easy course. It is not just sitting around drinking! Oh well!

We have a class in Oenology here at Temple.

Eton has a wine tasting society and a shool bar for those in the top two years (16-18)
