My D26 did the Engineering Design Summer Camp a couple of years ago!
I am not sure if that is the one y’all did- but it was so awesome. Highly suggest it for anyone thinking about CSOM. D26 did notice that they also used this as a recruiting event . Lots of tours of campus and guest speakers and such .
But an overall fun class and learning event with a taste of sitting in a class on campus.
Glad to see someone else on here applying for Fall 2026!!!
Mines is killing us this year with waiting for decisions.
For Fall of 2024 and earlier- they started sending out decisions late September/early October.
Last year (Fall '25) I did not see any early decisions- all where in December and later- so I am thinking that we have another month of waiting
(not that big of a deal- just wished they waited until after the '26 students had made it through before the change )
Mines is my son’s top choice to study geology after our trip out to CO to visit Golden and Boulder. Mines is a reach (3.6UW and 1390 SAT), but he is realistic and understands that he should have worked harder in high school. If he gets in at Boulder, but not Mines, he would work to get the necessary grades and transfer.
The good news is that he is already in at Michigan State, Michigan Tech, and Penn State.
Us too! My D26 (AZ) applied in October and this should be a Match school. We are dying here in anticipation since this is her #1. She has already been accepted to Embry Riddle-FL, and some others that she doesn’t really want to go to. Her top 2 are Mines and Arizona (sister’s school). Financial AZ makes the most sense, but everything else is her perfect match - Mines is her people. Good Luck to all applicants this year!!!
I am showing my ignorance here… if my son is deferred at Mines, does he still have a chance of being admitted in the spring with the RD cohort? If he is on the borderline, does the AO then scrutinize his senior fall semester grades? How does this work?
