@mirawan68 Thank you! Good luck to you too!
@mirawan68 THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
good luck!
I wonder how I’m going to be feeling exactly 24 hours from now
@valerieholland that’s exactly how I feel
And thank you everyone for your words of encouragement.
I need to remind myself that not getting into Columbia =/= failure.
I feel this is appropriate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KM3MzWYa_-Y
rejection from columbia =/= the end of your future
rejection from columbia =/= a representation of your worth
rejection from columbia =/= the end of your academic career.
regardless of our decisions come tomorrow, i have no doubt in my mind that each and every one of us will do great things. <3
@soph1112 this can’t be any more true! Thank you for posting this! It’s a great summary of what we all need to hear
This thread just spikes a good 30 pages in the past 3 days lol. I guess we all feel the same way going into tomorrow
Spiked*
@BrynMawr61 Crippling anxiety- bringing people together since 2015
Ayyy 23 hours left.
Ok this is totally unrelated I apologize in advance but within the past week I have come to the realization that I am obsessed with French choir music.
I’m not even slightly religious but I get chills any time I listen to choir music in general??? Idk such a weird quirk
@ro8271 SERIOUSLY! And to make matters worse I finished all of my homework and am bored so am thinking about how I will be feeling in 23 hours. I’m off to watch greys anatomy now to not think of this LOL ;
I just hope tomorrow will go by really fast!!
@BrynMawr61 SAME HERE I have finished all my final projects and so have no homework and I literally have no idea what to do to keep myself distracted. Should i take the plunge and start watching Grey’s…
As we go into tomorrow, remember…
Where you go to school does not define you. What DOES define you, however, is what you choose to do with your education. Whether at Columbia or your State School, take advantage of research opportunities, go Greek possibly, join leadership organizations… utilize the many resources available to you!
Each and every one of us is an excellent student, just trust that the admission committee knows more than we do about whether we are right for Columbia and vice-versa! As mentioned earlier, “everything happens for a reason!”
Before tomorrow, make the decisions as to how you will check your admission status. It will make the process less stressful! Will you open around family? Will you video yourself? Will you open right at 6:00EST or wait 32 minutes (no significance to 32)? Will you post about a rejection/deferral? Answer these questions to yourself now, so that they aren’t weighing on you all day tomorrow!
Tomorrow, eat good, stay focused in class, and treat it as a normal day. After school… Well… FREAK OUT :))
GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL, GUYS! ROAR LION ROAR!
@graceann Fun fact, my little sister’s first and middle names are Grace Ann haha
@PilotKhyle Thank you for that message. Very calming
Also, I want to thank you for starting this thread. I have had a place to release and share my anxieties and just communicate with others in similar positions as me, and I am very grateful for that!!
