Keep your head up and apply to other ivies too; even if it seemed like columbia was everything, please look at other universities’ websites to see how they are all similar, so being rejected from Columbia means nothing, you can find happiness in other places too

@greysanatomy3113 Yes I did!!! And for those who didn’t there are so many other great places!!! Columbia was just not meant to be. Believe that everything happens for a reason.

There should be something saying “Status Update” right under “Application Status for xxx”

@unready Thank you for responding! I’ve logged in, but there isn’t a box underneath “Application Status for xxx”. All it says now is 2016 Regular Decision under my name, with a picture of the architecture of one of Columbia’s buildings (with names of philosophers) under that. I’m assuming I got deferred, because it changed to regular decision, but I can’t find the actual letter. There’s no “status update” box anywhere! I’m really confused!
@greysanatomy3113 yes I did get an email, 9 minutes before decisions were released. I only read it after I opened my decision, but also immediately thought: hey, this is weird… it states it’s for accepted students, but was sent 9 minutes too early…
anyways, I’m so thrilled and excited, but can’t help but feel I don’t deserve it any more than you guys do… really though, you honestly are all so extraordinary and I know for a fact you will achieve your goals whether you’re at Columbia or not! Please please remember this!!
Wow… what a rollercoaster. I’m so happy I’ve had this thread to help me out. To those rejected, you’re still so amazing! To those accepted, wow omg I’m jealous but happy that you all are the first 2020 lions! to those deferred (like myself), now we just have the waiting…
