<p>TAKE ME BECAUSE:
I am a scholar, an academic. However, I have always wanted to be a military officer. This passion drove me to find my school myself and to find a way to pay for it. I can fit in academically at Columbia, but that’s not why they should take me. They want to build ROTC, and I will hands-down join, regardless of where I end up going. Columbia also wants to try and be characterized as less liberal pacifist (they’ve admitted more veterans in the past 2 years than any other Ivy) and I offer intellectual diversity. I believe that I could make a positive impact on Columbia by going and building ROTC. I want to be like Gen. Petraeus: a scholar and Infantry officer. Columbia strives for diversity of mindset, and I think I deliver</p>
