<p>How is Columbia’s foreign language program? Does the intensity of the Core curriculum prevent an intensive language course (like Georgetown SFS).</p>

<p>How does Columbia’s foreign language program compare to the other Ivy League schools?</p>

<p>How does it compare to schools like Middlebury & Georgetown, which are reknown for their language programs.</p>

<p>I want to study Arabic by the way, so if Columbia is especially strong in that language - please do tell.</p>

<p>CC and GS core actually require 4 semesters of a consecutive foreign language or demonstrated proficiency.</p>
