Columbia interview

I recently got an email about interview from Mair Faibish. Her email is at ********** Is it a real interview? If I don’t go to the interview, will it affect my chance of getting in the college?

My interviewer’s email was at the partnership he worked for.

It won’t have too huge an effect, but turning an interview down definitely won’t help you.

His email is at go*gle (it can’t show up at the website when I type it )… The interviewer did not talk about the place but the time. I do not know if it us a real interview from the alumni. How can I make sure the email and the interview are real?
The email is like" Are you available for an interview on xx/xx/2011 at xx:xxpm?"

It’s probably her personal email then (Gmail?) My interviewer only gave me the date and time in his first email too. Just reply, and see what she says. If she lists a place nearby where you live, she’s probably legit.

My interviewer also emailed me from her personal (y*hoo) account. I wouldn’t worry so much, but if you are concerned about safety, I would meet him/her in a public place. Also, you can ask for his/her number and call up, or call up the alumni association to see if s/he is a member.

my interviewer emailed me from his columbia account (alumni account?)

well I searched him up on LinkedIn and he’s legit, besides, he listed his credentials in the email so I really didn’t doubt him.

My interviewer e-mailed me through his work e-mail but when I searched him he appeared on an alumni event thing for Columbia. He was really nice and legit (:

my interviewer email’ed me with his personal email. i first thought it was sketchy because technically anyone who knew my email could’ve pulled a trick on me. but i went anyways and it was fine so don’t worry about it.

I doubt anybody is going to use this as a way to lure young teenagers out and mug/kill/maim/etc them… :S

but who knows what sickos are out there

I just doubt anybody would take the time to impersonate an alumni to give you a fake email.
