Columbia NOP Program

Hi. I’m a senior in high school currently applying to college and ED’ed to Columbia. A few days ago I received an email from them (On my birthday too I swore my heart dropped) explaining that my application was being considered and that I was a potential candidate for the National Opportunity program? Is this typically for FGLI students? At the end of the email in bold it said: “Please complete your financial aid application in a timely manner. If you haven’t already” I saw on past threads that getting in a similar program HEOP is based off of who turns in their financial aid informaton the earliest, is it the same criteria for NOP? Of course if accepted into the program you’d be accepted in Columbia, but can you get rejected from the program but still be accepted into the shcool itself? Overall, I’m hoping being considered for this is a good sign and I haven’t gotten straight rejected lol
