Columbia University '13 EARLY DECISION

okay did anyone watch the britney documentary on mtv the other weekend? it was really good and i have a newfound respect for her.

LOVE sufjan stevens, LOVE sigur ros to pieces. I’ll be definitely having a sigur ros song playing when I check my decison. probably vi

aaaannnnddd the forum has officially changed from a discussion about columbia early decision to one about indie music and britney spears…

anybody who hates britney spears just because it was popular to do that is irrational. all her songs have been epic.

do any of you listen to rilo kiley?

Rilo Kiley’s pretty cool

whoa, everyone’s post is preceding mine
i went to a rilo kiley concert a year ago, although i think i liked them better in the past

Yeaaa zeke I watched the documentary. It was good, but you have to realize that she produced it so it’s obviously meant to promote her. Shows her in her best light.

BUT SHE’S HOT. So whatever. The new videos for circus and womanizer - veeerrrry niiiceee (borat voice)

personalllllllly i’m also a big jay-z, N.E.R.D, ben harper, the police kind of lady. though i do love my indie…

i accidentally downloaded something by sigur ros once and i had no idea what it was, and i clicked on it on my iPod and was like “what is this gobbledegook?? huh??” such a confusing experience lol. but the song i got was pretty good. a little weird for my taste though. if we all go to college together fingers crossed! and we all become friends, you guys will have to introduce me to all this music :)

yeah. and then we can go to the concerts! because its like necessary to stop by nyc if you’re on a tour. unlike here in st louis, where everyone passes us up. (namely kanye west, you have no idea how bad i wanted to go to that concert)

yeah, one of the ups of being in nyc is you’ll never miss anyone on tour… unless you have a 20-page paper to write that night. (nah i’d still go anyway xD)

zeke those are the worst news i have ever heard
I LOVE music… i can’t live if bands don’t swing by st. louis… ugh

ok we all better get in together, because i know I’m going to need someone to come to shows with me…!

haha i live like 45 min away from NYC- and i’m seeing kings of leon in madison square garden when they swing on by!
Ughhhh OAR came to NY, but it’s annoying to get there with all the traffic- maybe when we’re at columbia they’ll stop by somewhere in the city…(hopefully)

and kanye and lupe are AMAZING. no joke i am in love with them- although i didn’t really love kanye’s new album…

Glow in the Dark was the best show ever. If you didn’t go I feel sorry for you. ;)

alejis – if we get in, we’re going to get our indie snob on together. for sure.

haha hpl629 - im on the same side as you. ive never really been an indie person, but i have def not had enough exposure. ive been listening to some of these songs everyones talking about, and a actually liking them =] so yesssssss. we all must get in, and then you guys have to introduce me to the indie music world =P

Indie music makes me angry.

lol soap.

I never grew to like indie music…maybe its cause i grew up with classic rock in my household and it was pretty much all i knew going into middle school.

Yup sansri im in the same exact boat. None of this new crap can top Pink Floyd.

hipster pricks who only listen to indie music and have a better-than-thou attitude annoy me.
