@Morocco965 thanks! it just seems a little fishy that they said “next few days” considering that most people get notified only 2 or 3 days before decisions. or they might just be trying to get us off their backs because we’re so annoying :))
@1984ad Someone did call today and he/she was told by an AO that an email with decision date would go out in a couple of days. I think it was @Morocco965 on post #597.
Just checked through all the other schools, Dartmouth and Princeton appear to be the only other schools without dates set yet. The days for release (from what I’ve gathered is as follows):
wish i could feel better about results but i just keep seeing applicants who are so much better than me its discouraging and i don’t really know if getting accepted is even possible at this point :((
@Nicholas Massenburg It is a stressful time for all of us waiting to hear about ED for Columbia or whichever first choice school. With that said, I’m pretty sure no one at Columbia is intentionally trying to mess with you. Take heart that there is a hard deadline of Dec 15th that has been printed for a while. Stay positive, breathe and remember all the great people on this site who are supporting you.
I love all my friends with all my heart, all of whom are amazing people, so so so talented, but it’ll suck when I’m the only one who won’t get in to a good place guys, not good enough for this uni :/, tried my best but i’ve never been good enough in things that actually matter ALOT. I always have to screw up in some places :/. Hoping and praying all of you who deserve it in this thread get in, and those silent viewers too who just read through here dreading their decisions. I may have been/will be rejected by the committee, but please please if you get in, make sure you utilise your seat and opportunities provided to you the best you can. It’s a genuine privilege to study at Columbia. Praying for all of you amazing kids stressing far more than us 17 year olds should be XD
@Nicholas Massenburg Whew, happy to hear not too serious. So many of my friends and fellow seniors are stressing and to make it worse a 10th grader at our school committed suicide last week, so the mood has been a bit grim for the last 10 days. We are at a great time in our lives young and with so many options.
my counselor came up to me in the hall today and said she got an email from Columbia. She wouldn’t tell me what it was but she said she usually gets these emails a couple days before decisions are released and then she said congrats. I’m really confused do you guys think it’s a good sign???
